Jacqueline has been in the business for over 30 years. She has a BA Hons degree in English Literature and in Western Painting, Architecture and Sculpture. She was a Director of the fine art dealers Spink & Son Ltd (in their Oriental Department) which is where she learnt about Chinese art as a whole, and Chinese textiles specifically. Jacqueline’s specialist fields are Chinese antique textiles as well as Himalayan, Central Asian, Indian and Southeast Asian textiles. Jacqueline has exhibited at the International Asian Art Fairs in both New York and Hong Kong, Olympia in June and Asian Art in London in November. She has written for specialist magazines in addition to European Finance magazines. Jacqueline has also written a chapter on Chinese textiles for the exhibition catalogue for The Art Gallery of New South Wales, Australia. She is currently co-writing part of the book for the Chinese Textile collection belonging to The University Museum of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Jacqueline has given many lectures around the world including the British Museum, the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, the Royal Academy of Arts, The Oriental Ceramic Society of Hong Kong, TEFAF Maastricht, Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, San Francisco Fall Antiques Show and the Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto, Canada. |
