Erik grew up around antiques as his father ran a business in 17th and 18th century works of art and furniture. After his studies in engineering and economics at Leuven University, and a seven year stint as an information systems consultant, Erik joined his father in the business. In 1997 he obtained a Masters degree in History of Art from Manchester University whilst living in the UK. After an internship at Sotheby’s London, Erik started his own company dealing in 20th century art in Antwerp, Belgium. Erik is a regular contributor to the specialised press and is the author of “Furniture and Interior design of Frans Franck”, published in the Furniture History Society Journal. Müllendorff is a member of the Royal Chamber of Antique Dealers of Belgium affiliated to CINOA and the Belgian Chamber of Experts in works of art. |
